This evening, we may finally get a good indication as to how good this year’s Bruins really are when UCLA takes on a good Oregon State team on the road. Can the Bruin defense stop another strong offense? Can UCLA’s offense move the ball well against a tough Beaver defense?
The Beavers are a 4-point favorite heading into today’s game. While I’m confident that the Bruin defense will play well, I’m less confident in the offense. As a result, I’m going to pick Oregon State to cover the spread this evening at home. The Over/Under for tonight is just 54.5 points. Because both of these defenses are very good, I think this will be a low scoring game. So, I’m going with the under.
So far this season, My predictions are 3-1 against the spread, having been right for the games against Coastal Carolina, SDSU, and Washington State and wrong for the Utah game. I’m 2-2 on the Over/Under, with wins for the SDSU and Utah games and losses for the Coastal Carolina and Washington State games. I declined to offer predictions for the NCCU game.
Let’s look at the game time weather forecast.
Game Time Weather Forecast
The field at Reser Stadium may be a little slick today due to some pre-game showers. There’s a 37% chance of showers in Corvallis, starting at about 4 pm today.
By game time, those showers should stop and the chance of rain will drop to about 24% and decrease as the game progresses. Look for it to be cloudy and a cool 61° at kickoff. The chance of more rain should drop to about 22% by halftime as the temperature drops a few degrees to about 59°. It will cool off a little more and be in the upper 50s by the end of the second half and the chance for more rain slips to about 15%.

I was ok with the calls - Kelly rolled him out twice on bootlegs because that was his strength the last two games. OSU clearly had that scouted but Moore shouldn’t have forced the pass.
Davies got away with holding onto the receivers jersey there, but good hold by the D. Unlike the offense, the defense can adjust midseries when things aren’t working.
U! Clap clap clap
C! Clap Clap Clap
L clap clap! Hi, Terry!
A clap clap!
U C L A Fight Fight Fight!
Go Bruins!
Hey, Jeffro, happy game day!
Hi Jim
Good evening great Bruin Fam! Let's Go!!! 💙💛
Hi, Tamara, go Bruins!
Hi Jim! Wonderful to see you my friend!
Back atcha!
Hi Tamara! Let’s go!!!
Hi J, so great to see you! 💙💛
Good evening. Here we go Bruins.
Hi Terry! So happy you are here this eve! Go Bruins!
Quite a game between Oregon and Washington today
That was wild!
Last night's Trees vs Buffs was even wilder!
Play ball!
Good line blocking
Man of Steele!
Nice start
Here we go... another pick 😞
Bad Moore is here tonight.
Hoping we can hold them to a field goal.
Not again. That is Tao grows he is not set.
Damn - not easy to run one way and throw the other. Gah!
Not a fan of these play calls with a freshman QB.

Freshman mistake. An entire open field and he forces a pass opposite the way he’s running. He’s not playing against high school defenders!
Yep.
Nice tackle on edge.
Get a stop here
Great tackle!
There's our D!
Great D!!
Only 3. Great job D!
At this point I’ll take it.
UCLA defense holds after Moore saddles them with a short field
Good to come away only giving up 3
Certainly better than the alternative
Hopefully a good sign for D to play this way all game
Run the ball. Run.
Moore needs to settle down.
He even looks frustrated and frazzled now. Complaining about Norwood. He is really a freshman.
Schlee is in.
Go in for 1 play telegraph’s a run.
True, but maybe just probing how the Defense responds
D looking good, O not so much
Even Penix Jr started off shaky so there's hope.
Josiah Norwood drops a catchable ball
So frustrating.
ND beating SC. Go Irish.
Arizona beating WSU pretty badly too. I think ucla broke them
He threw a dart
Too big a hole for ASU to run through.
Not getting enough pressure
They are executing Experienced QB
Yes.
Yeah, DJ staying calm - even when there’s some pressure he looks in control
D again!
Hold ‘em here.
Best Bruin D in decades. I love this defense.
Great pressure.
Gonna need the Offense to start it’s engine
Down 6 in the first. Deja vu?
Ok. So we escaped again. Moore has had plenty of time to get the nerves out. Let's go!
Given how we have played I’ll take down 6.
Me 2!
Me 3

Very close - not sure the pass was catchable anyway
Establish the Run!!!
Or pass for a bunch, that works to lol
16 yds of O ain't gonna do it.
Time to move ball.
Great run!
Keegan for 26!
Speed.
Nice run Jones
Love that Keegan Jones is playing his way into the rotation
Needs 1st down
