I surely would have digested myself if I had sat through both games yesterday. We know the Bad News Bears. In any case Happy New Year to Bruins everywhere!
The women’s team freshman are good, all 5 are averaging 12+ minutes. On the game today, sometimes coming back after the time off for the holiday, it takes a game to get back into things and with it being a road game is Washington probably made it worse. Andrews must have some lingering injury or something or being disciplined for practice to only get 1 minute.
UCLA gutted out a win on the road without two of their best guard defenders in Bailey and Andrews. Hope that Andrews was just recovering from a cold or getting some punishment for something. He did just fine in his two brief appearances. Tyger would have benefited from longer breaks and ucla could have won this game more easily if he had gotten some needed rest. Tyger will now be exhausted going into the next game and I’m curious to see if the next game is another struggle with the starters seeing so many minutes.
Bona gets better every game and is showing why he will be a one and done player. This is the highest potential team ucla has had since ball and leaf combined for a magical season IMO… just have to hope that Andrews gets more play time moving forward because the tyger and jaquez show isn’t the best version of this team
All things considered, if fate decreed that the Bruins could only get one win yesterday, it is gratifying that they got this victory as opposed to the win in the Sun Bowl. Cronin deserved this, Kelly did not. Mindful of the kids and I am sorry for them but, in a way, a 10-win season put a luster on Kelly's efforts that distorted his past mediocre results.
Chip "AT&T" Kelly phoned it in against a severely decimated Pitt squad and got his ass burnt. Cronin only needs to go deeper on his bench to ready his team for the slog though the PAC-12 season.

Agreed. Totally selfish on my part but, lawdy, lawdy, do I despise the gangsta bling NBA players' association and their greed for the One And Done.
