Damn. I thought you promised we wouldn't have to relive that.

It's one thing to play a decent team like AZ and shoot poorly and get some bad calls and come up short.

You cannot lose to a suckass team like that tonight. Not if you intend to be a top team in the country.

This game was dogshit. I thought Cronin was better than stupidly giving the ball to Juzang when he was ice cold. A complete disaster.

Letdown game for ucla. As someone said in one of the posts… I’m back!!!! I won’t ramble too much, but this loss was unfortunate for many reasons. The biggest is that Arizona has an easy schedule to win the conference. UCLA hasn’t won the conference in what feels like an eternity. Kerr kariisa is actually a good player, I just hope they bomb out in the tourney with Gonzaga because of his shenanigans.

Go bruins win in march!

By the way… ucla need Clark back really badly

Thanks for taking one for the team, Dmitri. I'm lucky I bailed when I did. Staying up for three OTs only to lose is painful. Riley? Last thing I remember is him bouncing one from the top of the key while three Sun Devils were under the rim. Cody, that's not your game. Myles had four Orebs but only 5 points. He's got to get that put-back together. We need Walton's help for our lil 'Bigs'.

Saw an interesting stat on Twitter - Mick Cronin at ucla has only beaten Bobby Hurley 3 times by a total of 8 combined points. Hurley has won twice including last night, the first time being a blowout. Somehow, Hurley has Mick figured out.

Terrible coaching

Just some things that were terribly confusing while watching.

1. Why are we still going to Cody Riley as if he is our best scorer. Did you not see what happened when we were within Arizona's reach on Thursday, and he missed 3 consecutive field goals and fouled them while they were in bonus?

2. Why is Miles Johnson, who clearly was dominating the paint, so much so that the ASU players were beginning to flop, played so minimally? Cody Riley absolutely cannot rebound for his life. Juzang currently averages more rebounds than him. He is not a true center and rebounding should not be sacrificed for inconsistent offense. I am talking about his jump shots. Let's be honest we all hold our breath when he throws those up.

3. Jake Kyman with 2 seconds left in OT subbed in who has not played a single second of the entire game. Thought this was funny.

4. Why is Coach yelling at Juzang who missed the game winner before it went in to first OT. If it weren't for Juzang the Bruins would not have been close enough to even have a chance at OT. Tyger has lost confidence in his shot, and Bernard has lost rhythm. Just let them play their game. Seems like Cronin has too much to say to the players with how they run the offense to the point where it's become super stagnant and players feeling uncomfortable to just play as they would

Excellent editorials--was hoping the Bruins to eventually pull off an (extremely) ugly win, but it didn't happen (I'm also still nauseated). The team has regressed after this AZ desert disaster weekend--maybe the stupid spitting incident in Tuscon had a negative effect on Cronin and his players. Currently, this team is nowhere close to being ranked #3 in the country, and would expect them to tumble out of the top-10 this week.

I agree that it was a stupid game to watch. Again way to many missed shots.

The fact that Jake Kyman was on the floor for the last play of the game tells me everything I need to know.

I've heard it said on more than one broadcast that Juzang tries to model his game after Kobe. One of my favorite things about Kobe was that when he was having an off shooting night, he would find other ways to score. He would get to the basket and/or get to the line. He could score 35 points on 25 shots even if only 10 of those went in because he would also get to the line 15 times. Juzang had 20 points, but on 22 shots. Juzang is capable of getting to the basket on his own. But he constantly settled for shots last night that everyone knew he was going to miss. He got to the line THREE times. If he gets to the line 6 times, we win that game.

Contrast this with Jaquez. 27 points on 17 shots. He got to the line 13 times. He was 8-17 from the floor, but several of those were layups or close range. In other words, his jumper wasn't great either, but he found other ways to score.

UCLA is a solid 12 in both the ken pom, net, and ap rankings. I feel they will have to win out to increase in rankings at this point. One bad loss doesn’t make this team, but they’ll need to make some serious changes here to end the season. If jaylen Clark is out for the season, it significantly hurts any chance at a magical march run
