Unfortunately didn’t get to watch the first half. The second half showed cronin the happiest I’ve seen him in a while. He also got Dylan Andrews a lot more play time as he tries to find some good back up for tyger. Defensively great… even with a big win the offensive efficiency metrics continue to go in the wrong direction

He is a happy guy. The other day, he was spotted at Mater Dei High School, a Southland prep powerhouse ( for those of you who may not know ) to watch a UCLA signee. He was full of praise for his current player Jaylen Clark, the likely recipient of the team's hungry dog gets the bone award. Last year, it was Jaime. But I want Tyger too !!!!! Let's give him a big Tiger ( not Lion ) King ribbon for his skills, incredible hustle on the court and oops, I almost forgot, that big infectious smile when some fans ( girls of course ) called him out when the team went into the tunnel after the game.

This was a fun game to watch, for sure, but the true litmus test of where we are as a team will be tomorrow's game against the Ducks. That will truly show us how tournament-ready we are at this moment, 7 games out of the Pac12 tournament (winning this has always been our goal). Still, gotta give credit to our Bruins and to Mick's great game plan; we really looked good last night.

We have to get back some of that outside shooting we had earlier in the season.

I think this game will be a litmus test in terms of how focused we can be in one of the toughest environments in the PAC 12, which will be a good indicator of how well we do in the ncaa tournament. Oregon crushed the #2 and #3 teams in the conference and now they’re gunning for us.

But as for conference standings and tourney seeding purposes, I don’t think this game is as important as the UA game on March 4.

Not to mention, most reputable "bracketology" projections have Oregon in the list/range of one of the "first four out" so we're going to facing a desperate team who's going to be motivated to save their season and get on the right side of the field of 68... gonna need another complete performance which we are certainly capable of

Call me crazy, but how we play against a mediocre and possible non tournament team is not a litmus test of how we will perform in the tourney.

You're crazy, Steve. You're talking the dance but my focus was the Pac12 tournament which, yes, Oregon will be a part of. It's also a team we have struggled against historically when on the road, so yes, it's a great litmus test of "where we are as a team."

In reference to Kingjim 1954's comments. there is always room for improvement however impressive the win is. We know it. The players know it too. But what we saw last night is indeed the full arsenal we can bring to the Big Dance next month. The intensity was there when they wanted to turn it on. The firepower was there when called upon to use it. Even the game plan was well coordinated. The only thing I caution at this juncture is to not look too far ahead, one game at a time please. Over confidence can be a spoiler, remember.
