How good? Win... or lose, how the Bruins play a team like the Ducks on the road in that hell-hole will say a lot. Proud to see a slightly undermanned defense fighting hard!

I'm all in on scoring often and early. It puts a lot of pressure on the opposing offenses, which makes our defense better. GO BRUINS.

Well, Dimitri, you and Jim deserve to be optimistic after all the good work you do here. And. no, I am not going to chime in and say I do not share your optimism. It is clear that -- if things progress without a calamitous back-slide into oblivion --these might be one of those "special" teams that have a certain destiny their fans fall in love with. I pray that they maintain their hunger and continue their winning ways.

As to your stratification, I understand but would do the same ONLY if the season continues as it has. Also, all the malice and trodding on Kelly that I have done, I am prepared to bury it if he rises out of the muck and mire.

But only if..

Tangentially remarking on the "special teams", an example of same would be like in all of UCLA's basketball glory and all of Coach's prodigious achievements, I have very fond memories of Larry Brown's "Bruins in Ruins" teams that, save for a last minute foul by the beloved Kiki VanDeWhege's last minute foul, might have added another banner to the roof at Pauley. My other one would be the `995-96 Jim Harrick team who DID put up the 11th flag. I could add a number of Donahue's teams who triumphed when we least expected them to.

These are to me like one's children who -- while not exceptional -- over-achieved and earned a special place on our hearts.

Briefly, I would not give one whit if UCLA ever made it into your superpower orbit, but if they always showed the fight and hustle and "ganas" that brought these surprises to us, I would be glad of them for the rest of my life.

I mean, it's gotta boring to be a Buckeye or Wolverine or Fighting Irish fan (don't even get me started with whose arrogant but wipes) and be expected to achieve perfection every season.

I'll take Bob Stiles knocking him unconscious against Bob Apisa to preserve an underdog Rose Bowl upset ANY DAY.

Hope these kids can do that and I wish them heartfelt good luck!

A post script: My records show that I am a paid subscriber. If you could set what bits you need to in your computer so the emails reflect that, it would be appreciated. I just don't want the paying customers here to think I am a free-loader.

Thanks, awfully, as they say in Britain.

No more exclusive tier for Colorado, they beat Cal.

Talk about being in a rare tier. SPTRs showing they are in a class of their own at the end of the second half of the $c Utah game.
