For most of David Shaw’s tenure with the Cardinal, the Bruins have been Stanford’s punching bag. But Chip Kelly broke that 11-game streak with last year’s win over the Cardinal. Now, the Bruins will look to win their second straight over Shaw’s team.
This looks to be another close game and, frankly, that should scare the crap out of Bruin fans after last weekend’s defeat against Southern Cal which was snatched from the jaws of victory by poor special teams play and bad coaching decisions.
Game Time Weather Forecast
It will be a be another Chamber of Commerce day and night today in Pasadena. It will be sunny and the temperature will be about 68° degrees at kickoff. Sunset will occur at 4:46 pm, right about the end of the first quarter.
It will cool off a little as the game progresses. The temperature should be about 63° around halftime and will drop to around 60° or possibly the upper 50s by the end of the game.
The Mighty Bruin Zoom Party
We are also excited to announce that we will try something new today for the Stanford game. We will be continuing our first The Mighty Bruin Zoom Party! So, if you’re watching the game and want to virtually meet up with some fellow Bruin fans, join our Zoom meeting! Here are the deets:
The TuneIn player won’t embed here on Substack, but you can open another tab to listen to Josh Lewin and Matt Stevens call this morning’s game rather than having to listen to the insufferable Beth Mowins, analyst Kirk Morrison and sideline reporter Tyler McGregor. So, be sure to right-click on it so that you can open up another tab and have it going while you chat in the comments below. Listen to today’s game online.
