Watching Colorado the other day I was remembering Karl Dorrell, no matter what else about him he had us in the Rose Bowl three years running if we could’ve won the final game. Sadly it never happened. That’s more than you can say for any of his followers though.

Marcedes is like the Energizer Bunny. Every time I think he’s gone there he is again! Hopefully he’s on a contender this year, all those years grinding away with the Jacksonvilles of the league…

If only there was some sort of repository of history with which we could amalgamate some research and ascertain the veracity of said postulate. Alas…

See above. Finishes got nothing to do with it, it involves a very curious set of circumstances involving ASU and SC.

Karl Dorrell in my honest opinion will be fired this year. As when he coached the Bruins, his Colorado teams are typically unprepared and surrender. Throw in NO 2nd half adjustments after abysmal first half play and you have a losing team. I feel sorry for his players. Karl Dorrell: nice guy. Terrible coach.

"After all, I had made it through the 2000 Michigan game which was about as hot." There are a lot of things I could do just fine....in 2000. Good effort on your part, Joe!

Wasn’t there a sizzling hot Alabama and an Oklahoma game back then too? I remember for the Michigan game we had to park on the other side of the 210 but, we still somehow made the kickoff!

Opponent. Start time. Weather. The combination of those 3 things were too much to overcome. As far as football, in addition to the special teams, I have concerns about our receiving corp as a whole.

Totally spot on. I would add our offensive line too. I was shocked to see punter Nicholas Barr-Mira get up after the UCLA line allowed the Bowling Green lineman to pummel him. The offensive line offered little protection for DTR. DTR was running for his life all day long. Folks Bowling Green is not a defensive juggernaut.

We left at 38-17 =). Tried to last the whole game in our regular seats… but didn’t quite make it…

The Alabama State Marching Band will be at the Rose Bowl on Saturday. They look to be worth the price of admission.
