With reports that Dorian Thompson-Robinson will play through injury tomorrow, this week's PGG focuses on how the injury could affect the UCLA passing game.
Hope Garber's is warming in up and getting ready to play tomorrow. I don't doubt Utah will key in on DTR. How long before he's roughed up enough to sit him down?
I don’t think DTR plays tomorrow. Even though he’s shown heart, I think talk of him playing is just to try and plant the seed with the Utah coaches, so they have to prepare.
Before Oregon, I thought this would be the tougher of the two games and sadly can’t see a win. I think Utah has better coaching than most PAC-12 schools, so they won’t need 1 half (or even 1 quarter) to work out how to beat us, so I don’t feel this one will be close. Expecting to beat Cal and Colorado, and hoping we can prevail over clown college.
For tomorrow, I’m most interested to see how Garbers plays and what the Offense might be like in the future.
It is DTR's ability to scramble and change bad plays into first downs that has impressed me this year, along with his maturity and growth in his decision-making. Having said that, I don't see how we can win the game tomorrow without DTR being on his A game, or with Garber under center.
Those may be the two most painful football memories of my life. I was in the student section for that horrific WSU game. Why they didn't call any plays to let Aikman roll out still haunts me. He was very good on the run and it would have created so many more options. Throwing from the pocket from the 6 is so constricting. Homer Smith was a brilliant OC but what a lost opportunity. I had to drive back to Lancaster after that game as a double whammy. Sigh.
And f... of course Melsby was down.
1. 25 yds, 1 TD
2. 4 sacks. Line wins games, or it doesn't.
3. 2 INT If this number goes higher, esp with the hand injury, then maybe it's Garber time
Bonus: Utah is a house of horrors for many reasons, one of which is football. Utah 34, U.C.L.A. 24

First half is my guess. I hope they open the playbook a little for Garbers.
Dont think DTR rushes for much.
1. 30 yds rushing, no tds
2. 3 sacks
3. 31-28 BRUINS!!!!
1) 45 and 1
2) 3 right on their average
3) 0
GO BRUINS! Show up and win!

I’d add that I think that if they lose, it will be critical whether they’re still mentally strong or if the loss leads to a mental collapse.
