Polls: UCLA Moves Up Slightly After Stanford Win
After last night's win over the Cardinal, the Bruins rose in both Top 25 polls this week.
Yesterday’s lopsided win over the Stanford Cardinal has resulted in the Bruins moving up slightly in both Top 25 polls this morning. UCLA jumped to #23 the AP Poll while the Coaches Poll has them ranked 24th.
The best news of all is that UCLA’s win combined with Southern Cal’s loss to Utah has the Bruins ranked ahead of the Trojans in the AP Poll where Southern Cal fell to 24th. The Trojans fell to 22nd in the Coaches Poll and remain ahead of the Bruins in that poll.
Washington is still the top ranked Pac-12 team after escaping with a win over Arizona State last night. The Huskies remain ranked 5th in both polls. The Oregon Ducks are now ranked eighth in the AP Poll and ninth in the Coaches Poll.
Oregon State and Utah also rose slightly. The Beavers are now ranked 11th in the AP Poll and 12th in the Coaches Poll while the Utes moved up to 13th in both polls.
Three Big Ten teams sit atop of both polls. Michigan is ranked second in both and rival Ohio State is third. Meanwhile, Penn State fell to tenth in both polls.
Here are the both complete Top 25 polls:
UCLA’s next game will be on Saturday in primetime when Coach Prime and the unranked Colorado Buffaloes visit the Rose Bowl. Kickoff is set for 4:30 pm and the game will air on ABC.
Go Bruins!!!

After all that preseason hype, hope to see U$C flop in their final 3 games and drop completely out of the Top-25 for the year. They're stacked with underachieving talent, led by their own version of Chip (Riley) as head coach and Azzinaro (Grinch) in charge of their defense. Meanwhile, our Bruins need to avoid being totally embarrased at home on national TV this Saturday against the Buffaloes and their Coach Prime Time hype. Go Bruins!
