After browsing the LAT article re the obscenely expensive training fare, I decided one of two things have to happen: either the FB and athletic program has to suck it up and do with less (less spending, less revenue, whatever) or the students and athletes on UCLA's other sports and the fan have to suck it up for AT LEAST A DECADE after Kelly is relieved of duty.
I am dead serious: 10 years.
From the looks of Kelly and his enormous gut in your post pic and the terms of his contract and buyout, seems like that guy is not used to sucking up any personal privations except the haute cuisine served as part of his program.
Not easy for me to say this, but I am a codger and by the time the decade passes I will be like Ma Crandall (remember her?) in the stands or over in the veterans' cemetery in Westwood.
Also this: the AD will not remain; gone in four years. He will use his stint at UCLA to burnish his resume and land a more manageable job a notch above lowly BC -- from whence he came.
