Wonderful write-up Joe!!! πŸ’™πŸ’›

I was up until the wee hours of morning, scrolling through the sad posts about the men's loss to UConn last night.

But it's a fresh bright day in the Lady Bruins world and perhaps we may just get the chance to take down the Lady Huskies down the road...

I just want to say I πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ’› our team, and there isn't anything I would change either, except that loss last year to UConn.

But maybe that loss needed to happen, for the stars to align this season and to bring the joyful ending we all dream about!

Go Lady Bruins!!! πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ’›

Yes losing last year was probably a blessing because losing Londynn Jones and getting Gianna Kneepkens was the best thing that happened for this team.

Wayyy off topic, but I am a bit perplexed regarding the 2026 women’s recruiting class. Looks like Spanish guard Somto Okafor is still on board but that’s it. Joyce Isi Etute de-committed a way back and committed to Texas. UCLA swung and missed on a lot of national talent. I can only assume Coach Close has plans using the portal.

If we win it all, I'm ok with being F'ed next season.

Coach Close said she plans to get several transfers. She said didn’t want to depend too heavily on freshmen.

Reload not rebuild...

But I treasure the 3 and 4 year players. We may never see another team like this one...

Not with young high school talented players. Let’s hope with the portal.

Based on your update we all hope Coach Close is on the correct path. For some reason young 2026 recruits on not interested in her program.
