#2 Seed UCLA Softball Hosts #6 Seed UCF Knights in NCAA Super Regionals
The Bruins will look to beat the Knights when they meet in a Best-of-3 series this weekend with a Women's College World Series berth on the line.

Tonight, the UCLA Bruins resume their Quest for 128 when they host the UCF Knights in Game 1 of the Los Angeles Super Regional at 6 pm PT. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
Last Time Out
On Sunday, the Bruins crushed South Carolina, 15-1 in 6 innings, to advance to this weekend’s Super Regionals.
When UCLA drew first blood in the top of the third, it was a Bruin homer that let them put up a crooked number. Jolyna Lamar got things going when she reached on an error by South Carolina’s Shae Anderson. Rylee Slimp followed and put a 1-2 pitch over the left field fence to put the Bruins ahead for good.
The fifth saw Megan Grant hit her 40th homer of the season. This one was a grand slam which gave UCLA a 6-0 lead. The Gamecocks scored their lone run in the bottom of the fifth.
In the sixth, the Bruins sent 12 batters to the plate as they scored 9 runs which included a pair of two-run homers from Kaniya Bragg and Soo-Jin Berry.
The game ended after South Carolina failed to score in the bottom half of the inning and UCLA advanced to tonight’s game.
UCF Knights
The UCF Knights’ path to the Supers wasn’t quite as easy as the Bruins. After beating Jacksonville State, 2-1, on Friday, they beat Stetson, 10-1, in five innings on Saturday.
On Sunday, the sixth-seeded Knights faced #3 seed Florida State. The Seminoles took the first game 2-1 to force another game which the Knights won, 4-2, to send them to the Super Regionals.
