UCLA football is this week’s biggest mover in the USA Today Coaches Poll and the second biggest mover in the AP Poll. The Bruins’ win over Oregon saw them shoot up to 12th in both polls.
UCLA’s next opponent, the Wisconsin Badgers, had the week off and remain just outside the Top 25 in both polls. Wisconsin is 26th in the AP poll and 30th in the Coaches poll.
With Texas’ loss to Oklahoma, there was a bit of a reshuffling of top five teams this week. Georgia is the new #1 team in the land, followed by Notre Dame and Miami. Ohio State and Indiana round out the Top 5 with the Buckeyes at 4 in the AP poll and 5 in the Coaches poll. The Hoosiers jumped Alabama to land at 5 in the AP poll and they moved up a spot to 4 in the Coaches poll.
Speaking of Alabama, they edged out Texas by a point to remain sixth in the AP poll but they couldn’t pass the Longhorns in the Coaches poll where they were ranked seventh.
BYU remained eighth in both polls. Ole Miss remained ninth and Texas Tech moved up slightly to tenth in the AP poll and they flipped spots in the Coaches poll. Unbeaten Utah moved up a spot in both polls to round out the Top 12.
As far as other Big Ten schools go, Southern Cal climbed two spots to 15th in the Coaches poll while remaining 19th in the AP poll. Iowa is now 16th in the Coaches poll and 17th in the AP poll. Northwestern was ranked 25th by the AP and Oregon was 25th in the Coaches poll. The Ducks dropped out of the Top 25 in the AP Poll but still received votes.
Nebraska continues receiving votes in both polls but hasn’t received enough to be in the Top 25.

UCLA’s next game will be this Saturday, October 17 at the Rose Bowl against the Wisconsin Badgers. Kickoff time is set for 4:30 pm PT and the game will be broadcast on NBC.
