How to Watch, Listen and Stream #19 UCLA Bruins at Arizona Wildcats: Game Time, TV Schedule, Radio and More
The Bruins head to Tucson for their final Pac-12 game against Arizona.
For a while now, I’ve felt like some of the info which I’ve been including in our How to Watch article fits better in our Game Thread while some of the info I’ve been including in the Game Thread fits better in our How to Watch article.
So, starting today, I’m switching them. That means that this article will now have the odds and game time weather forecast each week and the Game Thread will now have the Keys to the Game.
That said, let’s dive in.
UCLA played a bad first half last week against Colorado, but the defense kept them in the game. After making some adjustments at halftime, the Bruins were able to put them away. The outcome of tonight’s game will definitely come down to the defense’s ability to stop the Wildcat defense.
Odds
The Bruins enter tonight’s matchup as a slight 2.5 point favorite. When the spread is this small, it’s best to simply think about who is going to win the game. So, will UCLA win this one by at least a field goal? Well, this game has me nervous.
I think Arizona is a team on the rise and they are playing tonight to become bowl eligible for the first time under head coach Jedd Fisch. It definitely has the possibility of becoming a trap game if UCLA isn’t careful.
That said, I do expect the Bruins to win, and it should be by at least a field goal even if there is absolutely no faith in R.J. Lopez to make one at this point, considering the problems the field goal unit has shown over the past few weeks. I trust the defense to keep Arizona out of the end zone. Take the Bruins and give the points.
The Over/Under started the week at 53.5 and dropped to just 50.5 as I write this. While Arizona’s defense is better this season, I don’t see them holding the Bruins to less than 28 points. Meanwhile, I don’t see the Wildcats scoring more than 21 points against UCLA because of the way the defense has played. While it could be very close and could end up over, I think the smart way to go on this game is to take the Under.
Last week, Colorado’s late touchdown meant the Bruins didn’t cover the spread. That moved my record to 5-2 against the spread this season, having been right for the games against Coastal Carolina, SDSU, Washington State, Oregon State and Stanford while I was wrong for the Utah and Colorado games. The good news was that UCLA’s bad offensive first half combined with the defense meant the teams only scored a total of 44 points to cover the Under. As a result, I’m now 4-3 on the Over/Under, with wins for the SDSU, Utah, Stanford and Colorado games and losses for the Coastal Carolina, Washington State, and Oregon State games. I declined to offer any predictions for the NCCU game.
Tailgating and Game Time Weather Forecast
This week, in addition to a game time weather forecast, I’m also throwing in a tailgating weather forecast. For anyone tailgating in Tucson today, the temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s, peaking out at about 88° around 3 pm.
As the sun goes down, it will start to cool off and will drop to the mid-70s at game time and clear for kickoff. It should drop a few degrees to about 71° at halftime. In the second half, it will remain clear while the temperature continues to drop to about 68° by the end of the third quarter and finally to about 65° by end of the game.

Smells like a classic Kelly boof to me. I hope not.
Can Garbers make plays against a good defense? Let's hope so!
