Tonight, the #12 UCLA Bruins return home to the Rose Bowl for this year’s homecoming game to face the Stanford Cardinal at 7:30 pm PT. The Bruins will be looking to get back on track after last week’s loss to the Oregon Ducks.

The Bruins are 6-1 coming into this week’s game and have earned some respect nationally, but the loss to the Ducks exposed some of the Bruins’ flaws as a team. Can the Bruins bounce back?

Keys to the Game

Let’s look at the keys to this week’s game.

1. Score Early and Often

The Bruins have been winning by scoring early and putting games out of reach of their opponents. On paper, this looks like it could be a blowout due to the fact that Stanford is missing key players on both sides of the ball. So, UCLA should be able to score early and often to win this one easily and put it away by halftime.

2. Stop Tanner McKee

Last season, McKee had a big game against the Bruins. But with the team’s top two running back and their top receiver all out for this game, McKee is going to need to pull a rabbit out of his helmet for this game to be competitive. Shutting him down will make that difficult.

3. Score in the Red Zone

The Cardinal defense has been tough in the Red Zone, allowing touchdowns just 50% of the time. UCLA needs to put it in the end zone when they get close and not rely on field goals like they tried to do against the Ducks.

Let’s take a look at how to watch, listen and stream tonight’s game.
