How to Watch South Alabama at UCLA: Game Time, TV Schedule, Radio and More
The Bruins host the Jaguars in the final non-conference game of 2022.
Tomorrow, the UCLA Bruins host the South Alabama Jaguars at the Rose Bowl in the final non-conference game of 2022. This game feels a little different than the first two games of the season.
The Jaguars come to the Rose Bowl tomorrow from the Sun Belt Conference and the SBC has been earning some respectability with wins over Nebraska, Notre Dame and Texas A&M.
The Bruins must avoid becoming the conference’s latest big victim.
Keys to the Game
The keys to this week’s game are pretty simple.
1. Let Charbonnet Be Charbonnet
Last week, Chip Kelly held Zach Charbonnet out of the game. That could have been due to an injury, but it could have been to manage his load. Regardless, Charbonnet was back practicing on Monday. Just give him the damn ball!
2. Stop the Pass
South Alabama’s offense prefers to move the ball through the air If the defense wants to shutout the Jaguars, they will need to stop the pass.
3. Move the Ball on 1st and 2nd Downs
Yesterday, I wrote about how the South Alabama defense has smothered opposing offenses on first and second down to force a lot of three-and-outs. The Bruins will need to consistently move the ball on first and second down to beat the Jaguars’ “Swarm D.”
Let’s take a look at how to watch tomorrow’s game.
