How to Watch Oregon at UCLA: Game Time, TV Schedule, Radio and More
Plus, how to watch ESPN's College GameDay live from Wilson Plaza on the UCLA campus.
This afternoon, the UCLA Bruins return to home after beating Washington on the road last weekend. Today’s game looks to be a good one. It looks to be a battle between a pair of teams which both prefer to run the ball. With both teams having equally good defenses against the run, this game will likely be won by the team which does a better job of moving the ball downfield through the air. As a result, UCLA will need to avoid making Anthony Brown look like a Heisman candidate in order to win this one.
Keys to the Game
The keys to this week’s game are pretty simple.
1. Run the Ball Better.
UCLA’s thunder-and-lightning combination of Zach Charbonnet and Brittain Brown have led the Bruins with 1178 yards rushing already this season. If the Bruins can manage to run for another 200 yards as a team, they should win. Meanwhile, Oregon has lost half of their running back duo to a season-ending injury. As a result, CJ Vardell will not play today. That could present problems for the Oregon offense.
2. Stop Anthony Brown.
With Vardell out, the Ducks will look to have quarterback Anthony Brown make a big impact on this game both on the ground and through the air. The Bruin defense needs to stop him. If the Bruins let him look like Heisman candidate, UCLA probably loses.
3. Turnovers
UCLA has done an excellent job of holding onto the ball. The Bruins currently have a +5 turnover ratio. Meanwhile, Oregon has a +9 turnover ratio. If UCLA can turn the ball over more than the Ducks, it should bode well for the Bruins.
In addition to the game itself, ESPN’s College GameDay is in town to cover UCLA for the first time since 1998. But, unlike the last time they were here, the show will not originate from the Rose Bowl. Instead, it will broadcast from Wilson Plaza on the UCLA campus.
