How to Watch North Carolina Central at UCLA: Game Time, TV Schedule, Radio and More
UCLA welcomes an HBCU team to the Rose Bowl for the second year in a row.

For the second year in a row, the Bruins will host an HBCU team at the Rose Bowl. Last year, UCLA stung the Alabama State Hornets, 45-7. This week’s game against the North Carolina Central Eagles should be lopsided in a similar way, though there are some indications that NCCU is a better team than the Hornets were last year.
That’s because the Eagles enter the game ranked #17 in the FCS and the Hornets were not ranked last year.
The question coming into this game is not if UCLA will but by how much. The three keys to the game may help answer that.
Keys to the Game
1. Stop the Eagle Rushing Attack
NCCU runs the ball nearly 60% of the time. If UCLA stops the run, the Bruins should shut down the Eagle offense.
2. Move the Sticks
The North Carolina Central defense has held opponents to a third down conversion rate of just 26% while the Bruins enter the game converting 52% of their third down conversion attempts. If UCLA can move the sticks on first, second or third down, they will keep the punter off the field and eventually score, meaning they will likely put up enough points to win this game easily.
3. Play Fast
The Eagles’ first two opponents ran 56 and 46 plays, respectively. The Bruins have averaged 64 plays per game this year. By running their offense quickly, UCLA should be able to wear down the NCCU defense which will open up the chance for big plays for the Bruins.
Depth Chart
The Bruin offensive depth chart this week is identical to the depth charts from the first two weeks of the season. That means that teams still have to prep for facing three different quarterbacks as well as multiple running backs and receivers.
Here is UCLA’s depth chart for today:
