This afternoon, the UCLA Bruins welcome the LSU Tigers to the Rose Bowl. UCLA fans got a taste of what the season could be like last week when the Bruins won big. Now, it’s up to UCLA to show everyone that it wasn’t just because they played a bad Hawai’i team.

Keys to the Game

The keys to this week’s game are pretty simple.

1. Pressure Max Johnson.

The Bruins did an excellent job of putting pressure on Chevan Cordeiro last week. This week, UCLA faces a better offensive line and a better quarterback in Max Johnson. UCLA needs to deliver the same results as last week.

2. Turnovers

Last week, UCLA was able to turn the ball over twice on interceptions. If the Bruins can continue doing that today, while not turning it over themselves, they should win today’s game.

3. National Audience

Is UCLA for real? The Bruins have a terrible history when they play in big games in front of a national audience. Today is the opportunity to prove the team is for real. They need to step things up and convince the nation that they are.
