This evening, the UCLA Bruins are on the road in Oregon looking for a little revenge for their overtime loss to the Ducks at Pauley Pavilion on January 13th. While the Bruins come into tonight’s game on a three-game winning streak, the length of the streak isn’t as important as the way UCLA is winning.
They are doing it by beating their opponents into submission.
Not only that, but they are doing it while missing guys from the usual starting lineup. So, they are doing it with their depth. Even when Tyger Campbell or Johnny Juzang aren’t in the lineup, they are beating the stuffing out of some of the other Pac-12 schools.
Currently, the Bruins sit tied for second in the Pac-12 standings with a 12-4 mark. A win tonight would put them just one win (or a Colorado loss) away from clinching a first round bye in the Pac-12 Tournament.
At the same time, the Ducks also need to win both games this weekend to hold off Colorado which is fighting for a Pac-12 Tournament bye, sitting in 5th place currently just a game behind Oregon.
Speaking of the Ducks, they’ve gone a respectable 7-4 since the overtime game at Pauley. Two of those losses came on the road to the Arizona schools while the other two came at home against Colorado and UC Berkeley. The loss to the Golden Bears was the worst of the bunch. As far as the loss to Colorado goes, while the Ducks lost at home, they did make up for it by beating the Buffs in Boulder.
Tonight’s game should be another dandy…with the Bruins coming out ahead.

Flat all night with a few flashes but horrific shooting night. Jules Bernard has completely lost his shooting touch this season, now down over 25% since Dec. Don’t understand Mick’s love there when Singleton playing much better.
I have no problem. You complAin about not beating anyone notable. Tonight no Juzang. Jaquez on 2 bad ankles and is a shadow of himself. You act as if that has nothing to do with the losses. 4-23 from 3.
I didn’t act like anything… I stated a fact and you made a smart ass remark. Where did I say anything about being down players having nothing to do with the losses… if you go back and actually read then you’ll see that I said you were right… stop trying to pick a fight just because you think cronin is the savior
it doesn't really matter. this team has enough depth to absorb injuries like that. next man up. there is something systemically wrong with this team right now. buck stops with Cronin.
And will continue to struggle with these stats: 17% from 3, out rebounded by 11, 64% from FT line and commit 18 fouls. Came out flat and stayed flat. LED for less than 1:00 of game time.
U clap clap!
C clap clap!
L!
A! clap clap clap!
Fight! fight! fight!
Finally back with Walton calling a game
Looks like Clark has replaced Jules in the starting lineup 👍🏼
Thank you, sir.
Jaylen!
Tyger! It's pretty sloppy, though.
Jules!
Oh, man!
Not off to the best start
Walton thinks 6 teams from Pac-12 is gonna make the tourney lol
I just heard that! LOL
Our jumpers look better than our layups which is problematic bc we’re also missing a lot of jumpers
Juze!
Ducks are shooting 57% to our 38%. Ooof!
Ugh Juzang goes on a 7-point burst and then limps off the court after a foul
Out of control!
Getting killed on the boards.
The Pac 12 needs a clock seminar. Every single game there is a problem.
Jeez!
Sounds like Juzang is done for the night
Riley blocked again and it takes 5 steps for Oregon to called for a travel.
Kepnang blooming everything the Bruins put up. Need to find an answer there.
Bruins not getting any easy looks.
This one is heading south in a hurry.
Can’t shoot and offense back to the bogged down grinding style. Doesn’t help they can’t get 2 stops in a row.
Missing open looks and playing bad defense = recipe for disaster
Credit Altman. Seems to out coach Cronin regularly now. Will be 4 in a row.
Credit no Juzang and only 20% of Jaquez as well.
Heartbreaking for sure
Walton is a legend. But as a broadcaster his contrarian opinions are really annoying
Kyman is in. wave the white flag.
Suck!
I guess the Ducks never foul.
Not on their home court LOL
This is so frustrating.
Watson is going to be really good next year for us if he doesn't leave for the draft
Giving us some energy!
Watson, we need you.
It’s all over. We have no chance. Turn out the lights.
Riley keeps getting lost on defense.
Oregon’s turnovers are keeping us in the game. 3-point game now
Oregon trying really hard to lose this game
Riley was shocked to receive that pass
Ucla leads!!
Jaime!
Jacquez and Clark both have 4 fouls now ugh
15 points for Ducks from line and shooting 83%.
2 of 17 from 3. Ouch.
The difference… ucla looks awful from deep. Depth perception on the crazy court?
Just called Jaquez for an offensive foul
Fml
he's playing like crap anyway
Cody Riley looks like Karl Malone about once a game. The rest of the time he looks like a freshman Lorenzo Mata
Clark has a good amount of TOs
Still has maturing to do.
Not been his best game. Really sad based on his recent games.
That's it for me, Mighty Bruins, Good night.Go Bruins!

UCLA without a quality win in a month
Hobbled. Would be one thing if we were healthy. We’re not.
Health of the overall team is a real concern
I agree that ucla is down some players… but they haven’t beat anybody notable in a while
And the two aren’t connected?
What is your problem?
I have no problem. You complAin about not beating anyone notable. Tonight no Juzang. Jaquez on 2 bad ankles and is a shadow of himself. You act as if that has nothing to do with the losses. 4-23 from 3.

I didn’t say they weren’t connected… you always have some smart ass comment to make against me… seriously, what the hell is your problem
0-14 from three in the half will do it
It is shocking. And many were open looks.
1-15 in second half for 3s
Not an anomaly. Look closely at shooting % over last 6 weeks. Parallels losses.
And Riley makes a 3 pointer. Wow the irony...
Fact is they haven’t beaten anyone notable since early Jan.
correct
And will continue to struggle with these stats: 17% from 3, out rebounded by 11, 64% from FT line and commit 18 fouls. Came out flat and stayed flat. LED for less than 1:00 of game time.
We are going to be a 4 seed. We are either going to get smoked in the sweet 16 by a 1 seed, or defeat a weak 1 seed and plow to the Final 4.
If the lose to SC and lose before Pac-12 final, will drop to 5 seed
Early Lunardi bracket had Bruins as #4 in Gonzaga bracket
That would be the worst for ucla… I have zero confidence in them being able to compete with Gonzaga this year. It’s a bad matchup for ucla
I don't see UCLA getting put in the West.
