So here is my question? Are we ready to give the ball to the freshman? Have we given Garbers a fair shot? Did Schlee perform adequately in the one qtr he was asked to play?
Vs. Coastal Carolina, did Moore perform that much better than Garbers?
Are we jumping the gun?
Have Garbers and Schlee been given a fair shot to display their ware’s?
Yes, Garber was given plenty of chances, but you saw that game; Moore, in less time and given less series, did more (pardon the pun). As for Schlee, yes, we saw enough; good runner, decent passer, but not enough to make anyone think he was better than Moore. I honestly do not understand your "fair" question. Moore proved himself the best bet, and since he is a freshman, the experience he's receiving and will continue to receive will definitely be in our future program's best interest, not to mention this season's. Now that we have our established QB1, the more reps the first team can have with each other (practice and game), the better off we are.
Garbers absolutely got a fair shot - he started the game, ran with the 1s and played all of his minutes while the game was still undecided. After his first drive he played more tentatively and with a try-not-to-lose mentality, refusing to push the ball down the field or take any risks. Compare it to Moore, who really only played a few drives where the game was uncertain, but that's because he did more to secure the victory, pushing the ball down the field and playing to win the game. The stats are similar (largely due to Garbers playing more non-garbage time snaps) but Moore outperformed Garbers in that game.
Schlee has not gotten much of a shot in games but that also lines up with what was understood going into the season - that Schlee was clearly the #3 option and was likely going to be used in personnel packages that take advantage of his skill set, as he's a much better running option than Moore and Garbers. We saw some of that in the 4th quarter, and it would not shock me to see them bring out Schlee at some point each game just to throw a complete curveball at opposing defenses, but he's not going to be the starter and I don't think he was brought in with that idea in mind.
I'm excited about what I've seen so far this season. Although my hopes have been dashed and crashed, I dare to believe we can at least be a top 15 team by year's end and build on it with better recruiting, especially defensively, over the coming years now that we have some legit defensive coaches. Lynn needs to show he can recruit elite dbs.
Yes on Moore and the D. The D line was quite good yesterday, even with three regulars out. Beware of injuries indeed!

I don’t think so.
Keep in mind, Schlee was working with a bunch of subs in the 4th qtr - that should be part of the consideration.
Very true, would like to see more of Schlee.

Disagree 100% - I saw nothing that Moore did in game 1 that was better than Garbers.
Both had a touchdown, both had an interception both had similar stats. Not much difference. Yet Moore got 3 qtrs in the next game and Garbers got 0!
Given the limited time Schlee got, with 3rd string players, I’d say he over-performed!
I’m not saying Moore shouldn’t be our top choice, I’m just saying, the others haven’t been given a fair chance to prove their worth.
Garbers tends to stand in the middle of the pocket like a statue, whereas Moore clearly demonstrated more mobility (and can throw on the move!):

Garbers also goes through his progressions slowly and can get tunnel vision, (see 1st interception):

Compare with Moore's first interception, it was clearly a mistake but he was under pressure (you can tell how ball comes out): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nxkhHIqbgc&t=1192s
