For the umpteenth time, none of this was unexpected. It does seem that the hole is so great now, it's going to take something nuclear, from the very top down, to climb out.

So when is the "new admin that will care about athletics" supposed to come through?

Glad the athletic offense is insulating themselves financially with absurd ticket prices for a 1 win team because we're charging midwest disposable incomes the LA Tax on their free win. Let alone the supposed annual BIG payments.

This football team is the Washington Generals for the entire conference as it stands with this regime.

The Fos Era is over too long after it started. Beating Hawaii was la petit mort. And now we're spending the rest of the season hating ourselves for saying that win was worth it.

At least Mick at BIG Basketball media days is giving me life as they go back into practice for the weekend. 3rd in the preseason media poll and you know it's going to be a big prove it year for the Mick System as they enter this rugged wilderness of crappy overhyped basketball teams.

DeShaun Foster is just saving us money!

Leading the Bruins to a losing season will save us nearly $2M this year as it will eliminate all of his performance bonuses. Here's what he's selflessly giving up: $50K each for 6 or 7 wins; $100K for each of 8, 9 or 10 wins; $200 for appearing in and winning the B1G Championship game; $150K for appearing and winning a Bowl game; $200K for making the CFP; $120K for each round; $200K to win the National Championship; $50K for a top 10 ranking; $100 for a top 5 ranking; $50K for B1G COY; and $100K for Nat'l COY for a total savings of $1.81M.

Dan Guerrero would be proud of such financial management!

The "savings" are offset by the terms of the buyout.

Won’t be watching this week as it’s a 3AM kickoff here and I think it’s going to be really ugly for the Bruins.

There’s plenty of blame to go around for the current dumpster fire that is UCLA football. The biggest culprit is Chip. We really should have gotten rid of him after year 2. The atrocious recruiting will haunt us for a while. I’d love for a journalist to ask him if he left because he didn’t recruit, or if he didn’t recruit because he was leaving. The timing really screwed us in finding a replacement

Foster seems like a good guy, but over his head. He and Bienemy need to stop with the NFL approach or the on field performance will continue to be ugly. I’m hoping we can at least get some decent talent to commit, starting with O and D line. I think Foster will be gone by the end of next year.

It’s not totally clear, but I think the athletic department has been in a financial hole and that has affected the program. Hopefully that’s turning around and doesn’t hold us back moving forward.

On the field I think we really need to go a bit experimental, even if it’s high risk. I rather try something new (and maybe fun) rather than get ground down week by week

The worst thing is this year we are on broadcast more than usual (thanks B1G), which makes it easy to view the dumpster fire.
