I've never had the PAC 12 network...otoh the BIG 10 network is available for free just about everywhere so we got that going for us next year.

Are you a Spectrum subscriber?

I am Spectrum subscriber. In hindsight, DIRECT TV is better but our area is Spectrum turf.

Here in Ventura County, Spectrum is best. I get Pac-12 Networks as well as Big Ten Network for next year and their internet speeds are best, at least until they finish laying fiber all across the city.

Many neighborhoods in the Pasadena area are constantly being dug up for underground cable repairs and refurbishment. Our internet speed is not always up to par.

I debated on getting Spectrum but decided against. Just checked out their plans. I would have to reduce my internet speed to switch to Spectrum. Appears you can't 1G and TV together.

It's Interesting that you're getting the BTN network in Ventura County. I and my 3 UCLA class mates are Spectrum subscribers and none of us have BTN. We reside in these 4 cities - Sierra Madre, Palos Verdes, Seal Beach, and Corona. It rather incongruous that Spectrum complains about carriage fees imposed on them by the networks, yet their channel packages vary from city to city in content and cost with little rhyme or reason.

Life would be so damn simple if the service providers went to an a la carte offering where you pay for what you watch. I'm guessing I have 300+ channels on my Spectrum package of which 250 channels are useless to me and my family. Do I really need the 50 or so foreign language channels cluttering my program guide?

A la carte has been on the consumers' wish list for decades, but apparently nobody has figured out how to make that operating model profitable.

So, are you coming to the game tomorrow then?

Not tomorrow because I already have plans for this Labor weekend. But I expect a good win tomorrow.

I’ll probably go that route once we’re in the B12. Some people sign up for Sling to get the PAC Network during football and/or bball season.

I went the Sling route to get the PAC networks. Like the Sling ad says, you can drop us anytime. Guess I'm dropping Sling after this season.

I'm considering dropping cable altogether and going with a streamer. I signed up with Sling last night just to ensure I could watch UCLA games, but am also considering Hulu+Live TV; either would be cheaper than what I'm paying Spectrum atm.

So of course, after I trialed it, Sling announced this morning that it was not going to carry Disney channels FML
