It’s hard to believe that we are on the eve of UCLA sports returning, but the Bruins will finally kickoff the 2020 football season tomorrow against the Colorado Buffaloes.

And, Bruins Basketball and all the promise that brings is not far behind!

We truly appreciate that so many of you have followed us here from the old site and, if you learned about The Mighty Bruin on social media and didn’t ever visit the old site or, maybe, hadn’t visited it in a long time, we’re happy to have you here too as part of our community of Bruin fans. We think you’ll find that we are continuing to building a community where it’s ok for folks to have different opinions while remaining respectful of one another. That was a major accomplishment when I ran the old site and it’s something we definitely plan to continue here.

One thing you may have noticed we don’t have here at The Mighty Bruin is advertising. After spending nearly six years running the old site, it was a humbling experience to know that many of our readers are willing to help sustain The Mighty Bruin by becoming paid subscribers, especially in these difficult times.

Because we know that things are still difficult for many of our readers, we are celebrating the return of UCLA sports by offering a kickoff special from now until Thanksgiving Day. Until then, if you “Buy six months, you’ll get six months free.” If you pay what you would normally pay to get six months, we’re throwing in the other six months for free.

So, I wanted to send a special email to each of you who haven’t yet subscribed in order to let you know about this.

We need the support of Bruin fans like you in order to keep bringing you the same kind of content you’ve seen all month long and the kind of content which may have kept you reading our articles for so long at the old site.

So, I know I can speak for the rest of the team here when I say “Thank you” in advance for at least considering supporting of the site. We know that there are many of you who might like to do so, but just can’t do it right now and that’s cool. Keep reading and we’ll keep bringing you the same coverage of UCLA sports that you’ve gotten used to over the years and, when you’re able to subscribe, please do.
