Stanford here but always loved Bruin basketball…this should be a good year again.
But, how about this level of love and commitment for Bruin football, UCLA should recruit more in California and LA…both Bruins & Trojans are having difficulty in B1G. Not as bad as Cardinal but we are just reverting to where we were back in 70’s and 80’s….
NIL has been a problem for UCLA but DeShaun Foster is at least getting out on the recruiting trail and actively involved with guys, which is more than Chip did. But he’s trying to get more SoCal guys in the mix.
A 5-7 or better record with the absurd schedule this year (played 4 top 10 teams in a row!) should create some optimism and buy in from 2025 guys and hopefully some guys ready to transfer from other schools in the offseason
Wonderful write-up for the season. I’m feeling very positive about the Bruins. I feel the goals and expectations set are fair, realistic and very achievable.
BTW, the site keeps asking me to “upgrade to paid” despite my credit card being charged last month! Am I not a paid subscriber?
I went and looked up your account info, and it says your subscription expires in September of next year, so I assume you're fine. Not sure if you're just seeing the subscription buttons which Substack adds to every post or something else, but it seems fine on our end.
I’m excited for this season. Cronin is a great coach and if it wasn’t for injuries, we might have had a Howland-esque 3 straight FF run with possible a national championship in there. Feeling good about this team this year
On another note, ucla women’s team just finished their game and beat #17 Louisville without Kiki Rice! A 5 ranking might be too low for our women’s team.
Really excited to see Perry play this year! LETS GO BRUINS!!! Ranked to start the season let’s get this!

As usual, thank you for subscribing!
Yes please can we finally get the Gonzaga monkey off our back. Go Bruins!
As usual - a great analysis. Thanks to you, Dimitri, for the time, effort and expertise you give. Appreciate it.
Just wanted to tell you guys I won’t be able to join you guys tonight in the game thread because I don’t have paid. Have fun and go bruins!
You should be able to comment, according to the settings. Give it a try and if not comment here and I’ll look into it more.
It doesn’t work, but thanks.
That’s weird! I’m going to look into it though because this isn’t the first time it has happened.
Ok, thank you! Go Bruins tonight!
