Honestly my nerves are making me feel sick... 🀣

These down in the dirt, pinching Longhorns have set the stage...

Our Lady Bruins will play with competitive greatness, with joy and with love for each other.

Locked-in, not to be denied 1-0.

Go Lady Bruins!!! πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ’›

Avenge the fluke!

My nervousness has been growing all week. I’m sure I’ll be a wreck all game. Proud of our women, hope it’s a good game!

Tamara's avatar

Well at least we can be wrecks together! 🀣

So proud of our team too... I believe they will shine tonight, and be at their best when their best is needed!!!

This UConn/South Carolina game is just haymakers back and forth. I'm starting to get nervous and I don't have a single rooting interest in either team.

100% - I’m not sure who I want to win but what a game!

Kinda upset that we have to cover the UCLA game next because the Geno presser coming after this one feels like it's going to be an all-timer.

Anyway UConn got 12 points from Strong (4-16 shooting) and 8 from Fudd (3-15) and Geno had to be separated from Dawn Staley afterwards. Incredible stuff.

Crazy blow up there

Tamara's avatar

What happened? Did the refs throw the game? Why was he so upset? If it was the refs, that worries me 😑

Jeffro_TBS's avatar

No the coaches got into a shouting match after the game

Wow! Final Four drama...

Geno was very upset at how the game was going, including complaining that his players were having their jerseys torn off with no call (does it matter that ESPN then immediately showed Sarah Strong doing the tearing herself instead of South Carolina? Who can say). He was clearly unhappy with the officiating but I can't say it was excessively bad. His players just shit the bed and he's trying to protect them by lashing out.

Doesn't help that Dawn Staley is taking the torch from him as the new big boss of women's college basketball and he clearly isn't happy about that.

UConn plays very physical too.

He had harsh criticism for Dawn Staley and the refs in a sideline interview and then yelled at Staley during the post game handshake line. Looks like he stormed off without shaking hands with the SC players either

That was a classless move.

Geno showed his true colors. Poor loser. He was as asshole. He got out coached. Dawn clearly saw flaws in the Uconn guards ability to handle pressure. Plus Uconn got schooled in the transition game.

He owes Dawn an apology no doubt.

Let’s go Bruins!

Real concerted effort to get Kneepkens going early, I like it.

I am with you GB!

These refs aren’t calling squat.

Tamara's avatar

i am beginning to believe the refs are truly corrupt...

Chenalex's avatar

At least they’re not calling anything for both sides

Rules, there are no rules

I think that is to UCLA's advantage. Obviously it means Lauren is going to get beat up on the interior, but it also means UCLA's guards are allowed to be more physical at the point of attack, which cuts of Texas's driving ability (a huge part of their offense). UCLA has bigger guards, so allowing them to be physical is a huge positive.
